Bible Reading: Isaiah 43:18-26

Memory Verse: I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Isaiah 43:25

crobbery attack, perhaps someone pointed a gun at you, someone jilted you, betrayal from a bossom friend etc. Such things have a way of creeping into your heart at one time or another with a devastating psychological effect, drowsing your spirit and battering your soul. Personally, I hate such flashbacks. I have heard and preached about managing your emotions but this itself is impossible without the Holy Ghost strengthening your inner man. If you allow the devil take hold of your past, he will leave you shattered; sap you of the strength of today and blur the picture of a glorious tomorrow.

What is the way out?

  1. Repentance and restitution: If you happen to be the one at fault, you need to ask for forgiveness.
  2. Pray to God: Only God gives boldness and courage to confront the ghost of our hurting past and baptize us with strength for the future.
  3. Fortify yourself with God’s promises from His Word: Quote repeatedly scriptures such as Phil. 3:14-15, 4:13, Isaiah 43:19.
  4. Command the demon of fear to depart.
  5. Listen to testimonies of other people who have gone through your ordeal but came out stronger: Have you been raped? You may need to listen to Joyce Meyer’s testimony. Are you having problems with the ghost of your drug addiction, read the testimony of Pastor Paul Adefarasin. Are you afraid if God could ever use you despite your load of sin, follow Pastor E.A Adeboye.

Quote: When the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future in the lake of fire.

Prophetic Decree: Let the Blood that speaks better words wipe away negative flashbacks of your past in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

  1. Hunting shadows of my past, be wiped away by the Blood of Jesus.
  2. Holy Ghost come upon me, power of the Most High overshadow me, in Jesus name.
  3. Holy Spirit, renew my mind daily, in Jesus name.
  4. Power of the Cross, cross out every negative experiences of my past, in Jesus name.
  5. Father Lord, please encourage my heart and grant me the fortitude to move on in Jesus name.
