Bible Reading: Daniel 9:2, 2 Timothy 4:13

Memory Verse In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, have understood by books the number of the years, (in that a word of Jehovah hath been unto Jeremiah the prophet,) concerning the fulfilling of the wastes of Jerusalem — seventy years. Daniel 9:2 (YLT)

Brethren, I want to encourage you to cultivate the habit of writing down your life experiences. You need to keep a dairy. You must learn to be a good student of life by learning from your own personal experiences. The only reason why some people keep making the same mistake over again is simply because they aren’t a good student of their own lives. They are not learning from their own history.

They don’t document their daily life experiences and spiritual encounters with God. Their revelation from the Word, in their dreams, in their visions, etc, they don’t document. Why won’t life be boring? Why won’t you feel you aren’t making enough progress? Do you know that many of the revelations God has been showing over the years actually connect to one another? Your inability to keep relevant journal/documentation is hindering you from connecting the dots and fixing life puzzles.

Don’t expect God to always speak in clear terms. There are puzzles and parables you may not be able to decode and interpret until you meditate over your revelation. Now, what happens if you haven’t trapped them in a book/journal? No wonder Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV) says, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that read it.”

Even in today’s world, many films and books are products of the daily journal brought together long after the writer died. What an opportunity to make an impact. Mr Kunle Adeyanju documented his 41-day adventure on a bike as he rode from London to Lagos, Nigeria. He said, “When riding becomes a routine, if you are not careful, your attention, focus and quality drops and so, to avoid this, I had to find a creative way to change my mindset and make my brain see it as a unique challenge every day, hence I chose to tell my story.

So, I had to look out for interesting adventures along the way to document, hence my brain doesn’t see just the journey. So, it helped me maintain my mental alertness. Everyday before I go to bed, I spend about three – four hours filling up my journal; writing about it. I want to tell my story about my experiences and also about the survival strategy.”

N.B: Make sure you keep your sacred dairies in a safe place to prevent destiny spies who could catch a glimpse of what God has for your life, and start to sabotage it.

Quote: The dullest pencil is sharper than the sharpest brain.

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to connect the dots of your own destiny as you meditate on your journals, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I connect to the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the name of Jesus.

2. Holy Spirit, please crack the code of my own destiny unto me, in Jesus name.

3. I receive the patience to journal my life experiences, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to tap into the mysteries of my destiny, in Jesus name.

5. I receive the Light of God as I meditate upon the Word, in Jesus name.
