Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 11:3
Memory Verse: But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)
Imagine a young man having over $750,000 to take home for every post on TikTok. Now, how will you feel if you see such a person using an old school head phone while listening to audios that will further develop him? That does not always mean such a person is miserly. In this case, he is simply being himself. He is simply using what he feels comfortable with. Be real to yourself, beloved. You don’t need to proof a point at the expense of what you feel comfortable with. Don’t follow the crowd.
As the Lord lifts you up, and influence and affluence begins to come your way, certain things will surely change but all things don’t have to change because you want to meet up with societal expectations. You can give your world a new definition about what it means for God to lift a man. Simplicity is the sure word.
Don’t build a funfair of ostensibly living around your life. You don’t need to make noise in order to make news. Let God blow your trumpet to the glory of His name in due season. Let God announce you. Don’t announce yourself. “Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time. 1 Peter 5:6 (GNT) Don’t celebrate your new level prematurely.
Many have opened the gates of their lives to unnecessary battles not meant for them by blowing their trumpet. Keep it simple, dear brother. Keep humble, dear sister. Concentrate building a strong financial base for your future. Someone once said he has learnt to live 2-4 steps below his present worth. Humm…food for thought. Surely, such a person will have a good financial shock absorber in the raining day.
Quote: You don’t need to make noise in order to make news.
