Pastor Sam Chiaka writes. “I have said this before and I am saying it again: If you are mature and the reason you’re not yet married is because you don’t have a lot of money for an elaborate wedding, my brother, just invite 20 people who really matter in your life, share snacks and soft drinks. Don’t kill yourself spending on things you don’t need with money you don’t have to impress people who don’t care. Those who care about you won’t laugh at you. Those who laugh at you don’t care about you. And anyone who tries to pressure you to have an elaborate wedding should sponsor it. It’s very simple. Nobody should pressure you beyond your true ability. 90% of the pressures you are experiencing are self imposed, the rest are those you allowed others to impose on you. Bro, please free yourself! Don’t borrow money to have an elaborate wedding. It is after the wedding, you’ll realize you are on your own.”

Live your size per time. Life is in phases and men are in various sizes. Only few of those expensive traditional marriage clothes can be worn after your wedding day. What about the expensive marriage gown? If you can’t afford one, lend one. Sanctify it with the Blood of Jesus, and off you go! It is for few hours (less than 24 hours) anyway. Be wary of societal pressure. Don’t try to live above your means per time. Dear bachelor, the big financial break you are waiting for may never happen until after you become one flesh with your wife. Follow your destiny time table. There are certain things you can’t force to happen. They simply happen in their own time. Bishop Tudor said all he did didn’t amount to money until he clocked 40.

Moving forward, dear parents. The only reason why some spinsters are still at home is because of the exorbitant traditional bride price and marriage rites. Please release your daughter into her marital destiny. There are no rules without exemption. Think on these things. Selah.  1 Corinthians 10:23 (CEV) says: “…We can do whatever we want to!’ But I tell you not everything may be good or helpful.”

Prophetic Decree: Within the next six months, the siege over your marital delay shall be over, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Activities of serpentine witchcraft over my marriage, catch fire, in Jesus name.

2. I condemn all the tongues speaking woe against my marriage, in Jesus name.

3. I neutralize all the gadgets and weapons of the enemy against my marriage, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, deliver me from personal and societal pressures, in Jesus name.

5. Host of heaven, defy all odds – financial, parental, and societal – and let my marriage manifest by fire, in Jesus name.
