Bible Reading: Psalm 11:3, Romans 8:14

A sister wrote: I have heard stories about houses with demonic foundation, on how people who were rich moved into an apartment, and suddenly became poor, but I don’t believe in such stories as I don’t think they exist. Shortly before my wedding, my husband and I rented a very beautiful three bedroom flat in a fine estate. It was a new house painted with off white colour, well tiled and all en suite.

We were so excited we got a beautiful house. After our wedding, I moved in with my hubby to start a new life. In the month of June, exactly two weeks after our wedding to be precise, that afternoon, it was raining when I heard a knock at the door. On opening the door, it was our landlord and his wife who came to present us a wedding gift.

We thanked them, opened the gift, we prayed over it, then I took the gift to the third room where we kept other gifts. Afterwards on the same day in the evening, hubby went to a night shift as he works with the airport. I was alone in the house. Suddenly, I had this great urge in my spirit to stay awake and pray in the midnight, so I decided to stay in the parlour watching movies till I slept off.

At exactly 11:30pm, I woke up. I heard a voice telling me to stand up and pray, but I was waiting till quarter to 12am. The voice came again then I stood up and switched the parlour light off. On going to my room which had a long passage, there I saw a long black snake lying at the front of our room’.

“Oh my God, I exclaimed! I quickly rushed to the other flat to call my neighbours for an assistance. They came with sticks and cutlass searched everywhere but found nothing, then I decided to sleep in my neighbour’s house who always pray along with us.

Next morning, hubby returned from work, they ransacked the whole house again but found nothing. They all assumed that it had crawled out to where it came from, not knowing that we were going to be living in the same house with a snake for another two weeks before hubby finally saw it and killed it.

Lesson:

1. A fine house does not necessarily translate to a spiritually sane house.

2. Your safest security is the voice of God. Train your spirit to be sensitive to the voice of God.

3. Your closest family are your neighbours. Make sure you have a good rapport with them.

Quote: To be spiritually blind is worse than physical blindness. 

Prophetic Decree: Your destiny shall not be wrongly located, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus

1. Powers forcing me to make the wrong decisions, my God rebuke you, in Jesus name.

2. Holy Spirit, lead me to my place of rest, and not battles, in Jesus name.

3. Foundational battles in my life pursuing me to regions of environmental battles, I break your alliance, in Jesus name.

4. I receive wisdom to follow peace with all my neighbours, in Jesus name.

5. Fire of the Holy Ghost, purge the foundation of the house where I live, in Jesus name.
