Bible Reading: Mark 16: 15-20
Memory Verse: And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs. Mark 16:20 (NLT)
Shall we explore further on this very important topic:
4. Discouragement and Loneliness: Isolation from family and friends, coupled with limited social interaction and slow progress in conversions, can lead to feelings of loneliness and discouragement.
Example: A young missionary couple struggles to adapt to a new culture and misses their loved ones back home.
Solution: Building strong support networks with other missionaries and maintaining regular communication with family can help. Focusing on long-term goals and community building, rather than immediate conversion rates, can foster a sense of purpose and achievement.
5. Sustainability Issues: Missionaries may create a dependency on outside aid, unintentionally hindering the community’s ability to become self-sufficient.
Example: A missionary organization provides free food, leading villagers to abandon traditional farming practices.
Solution: Missionary work should focus on empowering communities by teaching sustainable skills like agriculture, healthcare practices, and business development. Partnering with local NGOs and fostering self-reliance is key.
6. Deficiency of the Raw Power of God: Inadequate understanding of spiritual mapping, territorial deliverance and power with God has rendered missionary work a mere formality in many places. This is the reason why after many years of labour in foreign missions, there are little or no results to show for in some mission field.
Example: A dear Man of God had to come back home until he was endued with the power of God for signs and wonders before going back to the same mission field with glorious testimonies following.
Solution: Don’t go into the mission field until you are sufficiently endued with power. There are chronic demons and territorial principalities to confront. The kingdom of God advances only by power.
Quote: The first work of the whole Church is to give the Gospel to the whole world.
Prophetic Decree: Let the power of conviction and conversion fall upon the nations of the earth especially to those in the 10/40 window, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Territorial covenants responsible for mission failure, be exposed and destroyed by the power in the Blood of Jesus.
2. O Lord, baptise all missionaries with a renewed vigour to do your will, in Jesus name.
3. My Father, release your fresh fire for signs and wonders upon your missionaries, in Jesus name.
4. Every satanic personnel or family holding missionaries bound and deflating their spiritual energy, be broken, by the power in the name of Jesus name.
5. My Father, raise kingdom financiers who will spend and be spent for your kingdom in Jesus name.
