Good day folks. Hope you had a lovely night? Shall we study the Power gifts; the third class of the gifts of the Spirit according to 1Cor.12:8-10.
- The gift of healing
This is the miraculous ability to use God’s healing power to restore a person, who is sick, injured, or suffering.
b) The gift of miracles
This is being able to perform signs and wonders that give authenticity to God’s Word and the Gospel message. Nevertheless, we must not forget that the greatest miracle is the miracle of salvation.
c) The gift of faith
The gift of faith is not the ordinary faith a believer exercises in everyday situation. It is faith as impacted by the Holy Ghost particularly in uncommon situation. Those with this gift are truly amazing in how they see things. They tend to exude confidence in all situations. A teen with the gift of faith is seeing and professing A1 confidently in a particular subject he is getting an F9 at the moment. I once knew of a particular brother who kept believing God to gain admission to study Medicine & Surgery at a particular institution though the first & supplementary list had long been released. To God be the glory, despite all odds, today his faith secured his desired course.
Heey, a word of caution at this point! There should be more emphasis on God’s Word and submitting to the Lord’s leading than you do on the results of a spiritual gift. Since the gifts of the Spirit are gifts of grace, their use must be controlled by the rule of love – the greatest of all the gifts of the Spirit (1Corinthians 13).
- We shouldn’t elevate one gift over another but esteem each one necessary for the completeness of the Body of Christ as Paul says in I Corinthians 12:12-23
- One way you can discover the gift of the Spirit in your life is to be actively involved in the service of your master as you remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
ACTION WORD: SWIM IN THE DEEPER WATERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

- Thou spirit of pride in my life that corrupt the work of God, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
