Bible Reading: Genesis 27: 1-4

Memory VersePrepare my favorite dish, and bring it here for me to eat. Then I will pronounce the blessing that belongs to you, my firstborn son, before I die.” Genesis 27:4 (NLT)

A prophetic trigger is any action capable of provoking the blessing of God upon a man backed up with tangible proofs.

Man is a spirit having a soul and living in a body. Man is tripartite. Man is multidimensional. A man could be a father, husband, teacher, mentor and a prophet at the same time. Now, please listen to this all important statement: IT IS THE DIMENSION YOU TRIGGER IN A MAN THAT WORKS FOR YOU. Please note that the word ‘man’ is used generically in this context. It denotes both male and female.

1. Only fathers can pass inheritance to their children. The time came for Isaac to pass the Patriarch blessing flowing from the covenant God made with his own father, Abraham, to Esau his son. He didn’t just bless him. First, he told him to go prepare venison (a sumptuous meal) for him. He needed to speak from the depth of his soul, not mere words but sure covenanted blessing. Funny as it may seem, only a venison could do that. This is one good reason why children are advised to humble themselves, reconcile every difference between them and their parents, and give generously to them, so that the blessings that comes from father to children can be theirs. If you don’t trigger certain dimensions, certain blessings and sure inheritance may never be yours.

2. Like the story of the Canaanite woman whose daughter needed healing and the attitude of Jesus in Mathew 15: 21-28, if you are quick to take offence, especially when working with people higher than you spiritually such as your pastor, general overseer, group leader, parents, etc., you may lose your blessings. Jesus said, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” (vs 26). She was not offended or dissuaded in her pursuit. She replied, “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” (vs 27). Her response was a prophetic trigger! Spiritual authorities may be wrong at times – they are human anyways, but the blessings they carry are sure. The vessel may be faulty but the virtues it contains are not. You need them more than they need you. Learn to swallow your pride. Learn to be humble.

3. Friends, kind words, sacrificial service, complement, gifts, and unsolicited service, etc., are also trigger points of the prophetic dimensions upon a vessel.

a. A brother once rushed to carry the suit case of a great man of God from South West Nigeria. He was impressed and blessed him. His friend who was standing by also asked for a blessing from this Patriarch. He asked the young fellow what he has done for him to provoke such a blessing.

b. Several young men were seated in an office when a simple wealthy woman came in. My dear friend was the only one who deemed it fit to open the door for this woman. She felt honoured and blessed him with a scholarship for his Masters. Honour is a prophetic trigger to your manifold blessings. People may forget what you said, but they will hardly forget how you made them feel.

Quote:  Honour is the surest access to destiny inheritance.

Prophetic Decree: Receive insights into the prophetic keys that will trigger your destiny blessings, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, I repent of dishonour and every work of the flesh that has separated me from my inheritance, in Jesus name.

2. I receive wisdom to discern and to provoke the depth of my prophet, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to connect with my Patriarch blessings, in Jesus name.

4. I reject and renounce the activities of the Spirit of offence, in Jesus name.

5. By the covenant of mercy, I will not miss my inheritance, in Jesus name.
