Bible reading: Genesis 1: 1-31.
Memory verse:A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9.
Continued from yesterday…
‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls represent the most important thing – your God. If every other thing gets lost, with God on your side, you’ll recover all. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your family, your health, your education. The sand is everything else—the small stuff such as your job, your house and your car.
‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your life and matter to your destiny. Spend time with your books. Spend time with your parents. Visit a mentor. Serve God with the whole of your heart, soul & mind (Mat. 22:37). Spend time with good friends who will sharpen your vision. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the malt drink represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The “malt” just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for rest and pleasure.
Action word: Set Your Priorities Right. Plan your life.

1) Holy Spirit of God, please give me wisdom to prioritize my life, in the name of Jesus.
2) Any power that wants to put my life in shame and confusion, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
