Bible Reading: Psalm 71:15-18

Memory Verse: I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you. Psalm 22:22

A testimony is a personal confession of God’s faithfulness amidst the brethren.  Your testimony could be that key that unlocks another man’s prison door. Testimony is not limited to the things that we say. It is an act of an Overcomer (Rev.12:11). The way we live our life is a testimony as well (2 Timothy 1:8). Let others see Jesus in you. A man who fought and won a battle is called a conqueror. One who passed through the furnace of the enemy or successfully passed a trial of faith is called a testifier. Testimony makes Gospel truth take on flesh and blood. It is one thing to hear a sermon on God’s grace; it is quite another to hear a brother or sister speak personally of his or her experience of God’s grace. Testimonies invigorate and excites us as we are reminded that God is alive and at work in our midst. It shouldn’t be a time to show-off one’s new designer clothes, ‘spec’, phone, or shoes. We are testifying to return all the glory to God; to edify and encourage fellow brethren (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Testimonies are signals that it will soon be the time of another man. What God has done for one, He is well able to do for another. I encourage you to sow in cash or in kind when a testimony you covet is being shared. You plug into such by faith. Heavens operate by sacrifice.

Nevertheless, there’s a need to allow the Spirit of God determine the time we are to share our testimony. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Unless otherwise stated by the Spirit of God, it is important we let some of our testimony mature before sharing them. A pregnant woman doesn’t need to tell everyone around her that she’s pregnant. Let the pregnancy speak for itself. We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy.

Prophetic Word: I command your long time testimonies to manifest by fire, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

1. This year, my testimony shall not elude me, in Jesus name.
2. I come against every power delaying my testimonies, in the name of Jesus.
3. Hunters of testimony, die, in Jesus name.
4. The glory of the latter house, appear by fire, in Jesus name.
5. Testimony blockers, die, in Jesus name.
