Bible Reading: 1 John 2: 20,27

Memory Verse: So it will be in that day, that his burden will be removed from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be broken because of fatness. Isaiah 10:27 (NIV)

A visiting minister travels for a programme annually. In the Church, there is this woman who came to him for prayers year-in, year-out. She was trusting God for her permanent citizenship. For nine consecutive years she has been changing location and phone number every three months because the immigration officers were trailing her. The minister of God was forced to tell her that her head was too hard. He prayed for her like others, and God answered them. That was the needed provocation she needed.

She grabbed a copy of the prayer book written by this Man of God, and went on a 7-day dry fasting with serious prayers. Under that high anointing voltage on the 7th day of the dry fast she drove herself into the immigration office, and told them, “I need my papers”. They contemplated for a while, and told her, “Madame, though we don’t do this, we have very stringent rules; however, we shall grant you your request. It was when she had collected her papers, and drove pass the immigration building that she suddenly realized she was under a compelling auction of the Holy Ghost. She came down from her car, and the anointing lifted.

Many have reserved the anointing of God upon their lives only for healing the sick and prophesying, etc. Dear friend, you need the anointing of God for every other thing e.g. in your profession. God can speak to you about a rare architectural design masterpiece. It was the anointing of God that made Dr Ben Carson perform a surgery never ever done successfully on a Siamese twins. 1 John 2:20 (NKJV) says, “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”

It was the anointing of God that fell upon that casual worker, 4th in rank in his company as he and other principal officers conduted their white CEO around the chemical plant. As the boss asked some technical questions which other staff couldn’t answer, a cold chill fell on his head three different times. That same day he became the new manager. You need the anointing in your ministration, in your career, in your family, in your health/body, in your profession, and every other aspect of your life.

Quote: The anointing refers to the tangible, feelable, and palpable power of the Holy Spirit.
