Bible Reading:  1 Samuel 15: 21-22, Isaiah 1:19

Memory Verse: But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 (NLT)

Sing the hymn: Trust and obey. A woman wanted to park into a new house. She decided to tell her General Overseer (G.O) before packing in. She requested of him, “G.O, anoint this Oil as I go sanctify the new house”. Out of curiosity her G.O asked, “Where is the house?” She said behind the cemetery. “What! Please don’t pack into such a house. There is a traffic of spirits around such a place. The spiritual atmosphere is not healthy.” She was recalcitrant. She went ahead. Let me pray for you: May you not confront a problem that is bigger than your present spiritual level, in Jesus name. 

One day, she went to work and as such locked all her doors because she stayed alone. Before she came back from work, egusi soup was already on the gas cooker. “What type of mystery is this? No other person has access to my keys. She was confused and bewildered at the same time. 

At another time, she came back from an outing to see yam boiling in her kitchen. Then she knew she was big in trouble. Nobody told her to go back to her General Overseer.

You see, to obey is better than sacrifice. Do well to hearken diligently to custodians of spiritual authority over your life. Follow them as they follow God.

Quote: To obey is better than sacrifice.

Prophetic Decree: I curse powers cursing you to turn deaf ears to instructions that will benefit your destiny, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the power of obedience, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace for prompt and complete obedience, in Jesus name.

3. I come against powers that compel men to make the wrong decisions, in Jesus name.

4. Mercy of God, reverse every consequences of my wrong decisions, in Jesus name.

5. I receive a willing hear and a doing heart, in Jesus name.
