Bible Reading: Psalm 103: 1-22

Memory VerseBless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefitsPsalms 103:2 (KJV)

James W. Goll said:  I try to make a discipline of gratitude. It’s easy for me to focus on the negative events in my life at times and get caught in the gutter. But, when I focus on the negative, it only empowers those things in my heart. Instead, I try to make a discipline of staying grateful throughout my day. I have so much to be grateful for – even when circumstances don’t go the way I hoped they would. For instance, I’m alive, I have incredible children and grandchildren, I have a great house, and a fruitful ministry. These are real blessings in my life. But, more than these, I find it powerful to thank God for the little things in my life, like my ability to walk and the fact that I have two eyes, ears, arms, and legs that work. It may seem silly to thank God for these, but I don’t want to take these blessings for granted. I’m very aware that there are many people in the world who don’t have the basic graces I easily take for granted. I find when I reflect on the blessings in my life with gratitude, something shifts inside of me. I end up embracing a new perspective that changes my day. I even have mats placed around my house that say, “gratitude” to help me remember to stay grateful as I’m doing the everyday tasks of life! I want you to remember to stay grateful this season too! You may not need gratitude mats around your house, but most of us need some type of reminder to stay grateful. Hopefully, this article is that reminder to you. “

The shortest cut to abundance is thanksgiving. Nothing finishes in the hands of a thanks giver. What prayer, brings wisdom, keeps but thanksgiving multiplies. Appreciation is qualification for multiplication. Another man’s testimony does not connote your downfall. When comparison is encouraged, an ingrate is born. Thanksgiving is key to more of anything. Even when things get worse for you, the fact that you have enough sense to understand what is wrong is worth giving thanks. The first step to progress is understanding there is a problem. A mad man on the street does not understand his predicament. Give thanks because something worse could have happened.

Quote: If you cannot thank God for the little things, then you are not qualified for the mighty things.

Prophetic Decree: I command the river of gratitude never to cease from your heart, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the myriads of problems you saw me through.

2. Thank you Saviour for the salvation of my soul.

3. Thank you Master for shutting the mouth of lions who are after my downfall.

4. Thank you Father for my ability to walk and the fact that I have two eyes, ears, arms, and legs that work.

5. Thank you Father for your daily provisions and protection.
