Bible reading: Acts 4: 1-7, 16-33

One day, an elephant and a mouse were crossing a span bridge; the bridge began swaying to and fro not because of any storm, but rather, due to elephant’s heavy weight. As they both reached the end of the bridge, the mouse turned, looked up to the elephant and said, “We shook that bridge, didn’t we?”

This story sounds humorous but that is the truth about life. According to our text, the Apostles may not have been able to shake the earth individually, but when they came together in their company, there was an earthquake.

The company you keep in school, at home and anywhere you find yourself determines what will accompany you. If you have a friend ‘shaking’ his class, you may soon start to ‘shake’ yours. Who are your friends? Are they chain smokers, ‘educated prostitutes’, pilferers, or cultists? Do they engage in exam malpractices or drink alcohol? Depart from such friends quickly. Beloved, God cannot be mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, he will reap (Gal.6:7).

Watch it! You will soon be like the company you keep. In Chemistry, diffusion may not be fast in solid materials as compared to liquid and gases but surely, it will happen. In that same way, in the process of time, no matter how rigid you may initially seem to be, the characteristics of your friends, good or bad, will soon diffuse into you.

Quote: A sheep that keeps a dog as a friend will soon start eating faeces.

Prophetic Word: Receive your deliverance from every evil foundational pull towards destruction, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

1. Altars of my father’s house connecting me to the wrong friends, catch fire, in Jesus name.
2. I receive discipline and wisdom to follow the right company, in the name of Jesus.
3. I break free from the evil remote control system of my lineage, in Jesus name.
4. I receive the anointing to say “No” to every wiles of the devil.
5. Holy Spirit, strengthen my inner man, charge up my spirit, in Jesus name.
