Bible Reading: Luke 14: 28-32

Sometimes, the problem of man is not a lack of vision, but converting one’s vision into reality. The second quarter of the Year 2023 is here again. How are you going about converting your new vision into reality? On April 19, 2022, Mr Kunle Adeyanju decided to take on a daring mission of riding a bike from London to Lagos, Nigeria in order to create more awareness about polio vaccine acceptance and raise funds to curb the life-threatening disease.

This is a vision in his to-do-list before leaving the earth. But, he had to plan well for a year before embarking on such assignment. First, he had to place an order with Honda for a brand new power bike that sooth this type of adventure. The bike has 70 liters fuel capacity and it can go 500 kilometres, with a small gallon reserve of five liters that gives him another 125 kilometres. So, once the two tanks are filled up, he can travel 625 kilometres. Secondly, he made sure he had his credit card, some cash and three phones. He had a satellite phone in case there was no GSM network.

He also got the Garmin navigational system. He also had to put in some insurance packages so that when it is a matter of life and death, he could call for a helicopter rescue. Proper planning prevents poor performance. Your vision must confer on you the needed discipline, planning, and restraint. Mr Kunle Adeyanju said, “Essentially, the trip was successful, because of planning. I saw several times that what saved me through was planning. Even though it didn’t work 100 per cent, it was easier for me to adapt to the plan to suit those emerging challenges.”

Now to you: How are you going about the great dreams God has given you? Don’t end this year again in a sorry state. Wake up and let your destiny count. Many have visions to write a book, walk in the miraculous, build a company, further their education, settle down in marriage, buy a property, etc, but few accomplish such because of lack or inadequate planning. Talk to God, talk to a mentor and talk to yourself. Engage your mind. Sit down with the Holy Spirit. Get a pen and paper, and chart the course of your vision. All things are possible. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Prayer Focus

1. The planner of heaven and Earth who founded the earth on waters, we thank you.

2. I receive grace to plan my vision into reality, in Jesus name.

3. Today I receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, in Jesus name.

4. After the order of David, I receive grace to chart my course to victory, in Jesus name.

5. Divine strategies, Master strategies, fall upon the tables of my heart to surmount my wall of Jericho in this new quarter, in Jesus name.

6. Divine winning strategies, I receive you today, in Jesus name.
