Bible Reading: Psalm 150: 1-6

Memory Verse:  This was the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. Psalm 118:23 (NKJV)

The opening lyrics of the song “The Doing of the Lord” by Diana Hamilton featuring Mercy Chinwo Blessed captures today’s devotional. It says, “The pages of my life tell of Your Goodness. Every chapter of my story show how You led me, Lord. I’m the handwriting of mercy by the Finger of the Lord. This is the finger of the Lord. (Lord), You’ve been right here beside me through the fire, through the rain. I didn’t burn, I didn’t drown because You were right by my side. I am a living testimony of the goodness of the Lord. This is The Doing of The Lord! What shall I render? Indeed, what shall I render? What shall I render to You? What shall I render? But for God by my side, things would have been bad. But by the mercies of the Lord.”

If you think the Lord has not been faithful through the third quarter of the year, you better have a rethink. Only those who think deep can truly be grateful. Don’t allow your five (5) senses to betray you. Your five senses will focus on the few dark patches in the horizon of your life. Why concentrate on the dark dots at the centre of the pages of your life while you forget about the crystal white surfaces. Even roses have thorns. In all, the Lord has been faithful. Look at the seemingly small details of your life.

You didn’t wake up this morning because you have an alarm clock. Put that same alarm clock beside a dead man and see if he will wake up. The Giver of life made it possible. When there is life, there is hope. With the biting economy all over the world, God preserved and provided for you and your household. Many dreams you thought will never be possible miraculously saw the light of day. Miracles everywhere. What about the joy of your salvation? What about peace that passes all understanding in the midst of storm. The numerous deliverance from envious enemies, environmental witchcraft, territorial strongmen, organizational strongwomen, dream robbers, ancestral powers, household enemies, just to mention but a few.

Friends, by the measure of God’s grace and privilege of election, I can confidently tell you that there is no ounce of progress you made on Earth that was not fought and won first in the spirit. John 3:27 (LSB) says “…A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven. There are too many forces looking for your head (the symbol of your destiny and lifting), your hand (the symbol of your handwork), and your legs (the symbol of your divine location in destiny). BUT, “You made men (charioteers) ride over our heads [in defeat]; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a [broad] place of abundance [to be refreshed] – Psalm 66:12 (AMP). Somebody shout 21 powerful hallelujahs to the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords.

Prophetic Decree:  May the Lord give you a good reason every day of your life to thank Him daily.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the gift of life.

2. Thank you Father for the gift of sound mind in a healthy body.

3. Thank you Father for the ups and downs of life that gave birth to abundance of testimonies.

4. Thank you Father for the joy of my salvation. 

5. Thank you Father for the privilege to see the last day of this month and of this third quarter in Year 2024.
