Bible Reading: John 4: 10-39, 1 Peter 3:15

Memory VerseMany Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.” John 4:39 (ESV)

Witnessing is when someone who has tasted God testifies to another that God tastes good. Credible witnesses always use simple evidence. Don’t complicate it. Your testimony of what God has done for you is simple enough to win a soul to Christ. Many atimes, talking Bible and arguing about doctrines may not be the best option. The simplest way to witness Jesus is through the testimony of what He has done for you. Witness about what Jesus did in your life. Little wonder why Jesus used simple parables to depict deep kingdom mysteries.

He wants us to relate with what we can see as a token of what we cannot see. So also it is with witnessing. Simply telling people what Jesus has done in your life will wet their appetite to what it means to be in Him. You experienced the raw power of God when you were close to death, tell your unbeliever friend about it. You were lost in sin and negative addictions before you encounter the Cross, tell your colleagues about it. Many times you don’t need big, fat doctrinal exegesis to win a soul for the Lord. For it is written, we overcame the devil by the Blood of the lamb and the words of our testimonies (Rev 12:11). If there was anybody that shouldn’t have witnessed, it was the woman Jesus met at the well. She had 5 husbands.

Obviously, she must have been tagged a whore. I perceive she had deep character problem and perhaps, deeply seated foundational problem. However, after the encounter with Jesus, she became a living evangelist. Don’t forget she didn’t do any Bible class, didn’t go to theological seminary, she wasn’t ordained in her local assembly, nobody taught her homiletics or theology. The experience she had was her witness. Stop running around Church giving excuses on why you can’t witness for Jesus. Simply talk about your personal testimony with Jesus. What has Jesus done for you?   The more you tell your story to people, the more God makes sure that you don’t see shame. God will be committed to defend His investment (that same testimony) in your life. However, you cannot testify about Christ if you don’t know Him. Accept Jesus into your life right now.

Quote: Credible witnesses simply share their personal testimonies.

Prophetic Decree: Any power fighting your testimonies shall be wasted, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the sacred opportunity of salvation.

2. I plug my life to the socket of amazing testimonies, in Jesus name.

3. I receive the boldness to testify about Jesus everywhere I go, in Jesus name.

4. I receive the mouth and the wisdom to speak the word of faith, in Jesus name.

5. I rebuke the power of the air contending with the heart of my hearers, in Jesus name.
