Tinu is a young teenager in her final year presently in a prestigious secondary school in south eastern Nigeria, who woke up this morning to see the sunshine of a brand new day on the first day of the year 2016. Over the night, she prayed hard and even partook in the marathon 24-hr fast (though she was tempted to eat some cookies…lol !) as instructed by her church Pastor. Her joy and that of her two other siblings knew no bounds when they perceived the aroma of fried rice and barbeque chicken oozing out of their mum’s kitchen for the celebration! Hooolala……

Many of us can relate to this as teenagers. But, that isn’t enough to welcome a new year filled with great opportunities. There’s no success without a vision and a plan! The scripture says in Habakkuk 2:2: And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain upon tablets, so he may run who reads it. (RSV). A vision is what one would like to do or be in the near or far future, usually written down. A plan is a step-by-step approach to accomplishing one’s vision.

The question now goes thus: What vision do you plan to run with in this New Year? Beloved, I encourage you to write down your vision one after the other in the area of your personal walk with God, your education, your choice of friends, and other extra curricular activities. Do well to assess yourself daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly. You shall surely thank God as you give yourself a pat on the back come December 2016. Cheers to your expectant success!

ACTION WORD:        THERE IS NO SUCCESS WITHOUT A PLAN.

1. I receive grace to follow through my plans this year in the name of Jesus.
2. In this year 2016, I’m unstoppable in the name of Jesus.
