Bible Reading:  Hosea 12:13

Memory Verse:  By a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved.  Hosea 12:13 (NKJV)

Imagine if after God had used Moses to bring the Israelites out of Egypt, the Israelites renounced him saying they no longer need him as their prophet. They could have died in the wilderness without the Promised land in view. No wonder Hosea 12:13 says, “By a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved.” So, it is possible to be ‘delivered from Egypt’ but not ‘preserved from Egypt’ because you disconnected from your prophet. Now, you will need a lot of patience to journey long with your Moses despite his human flaws. I hope you know you don’t get to choose your prophet. You must discern him/her by revelation. Watch it, the closer you are to such a person, the more likely you are going to see his/her flaws. Handle such human deficiencies prayerfully.  You shouldn’t be found dragging his/her name in the mud. “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do not harm My prophets.” Psalm 105:15 (NASB). Remember Miriam and Aaron, the two siblings of Moses. Their accusations were right about Moses but they transgressed. They stepped beyond their spiritual boundaries. You don’t break ranks in the kingdom of God.

There are days your prophet will act in the flesh because of the vulnerability of his human nature. His/her choleric nature may lash out at you in the public. Such are tests to your loyalty and conviction. What heavens is indirectly saying is that, “Do you still believe in this person to take you to your Promised land despite his/her human flaws.” This type of test is definitely going to be hard on your flesh. There is a season when you will doubt if truly you are under the right spiritual covering. You don’t just seem to be on the same page with your prophet. All your efforts are misinterpreted. Endure such seasons. Soon, like unto Elisha, an opportunity will soon come for an impartation that will push your destiny to the next level. Again, you must be sensitive to such Kairos moment. You may have to force that deposit of grace upon your Elijah to land on the head of your Elisha. Just after that, get ready for a distinguishing grace that will set you apart from your contemporaries. Every spiritual impartation has a price tag, in cash and/or in kind.

N.B: A prophet that impregnate a member of his Church or marries a second wife without open confession, obvious repentance, restitution and weeks/months of personal seclusion to realign His ways before God is no more worthy to be called a Man of God. Flee from such ‘prophets.’ Beware of false prophets! Beware of fake prophets!! By their fruits, we shall know them (Matthew 7:15-20).

Prophetic Decree: May the Lord keep your feet strong on solid rock, in Jesus name 

Prayer Focus 

1. Thank you Father for sending my prophet my way, in Jesus name. 

2. I reject the spirit of rebellion, in Jesus name. 

3. I reject the spirit of disobedience, in Jesus name. 

4. I refuse to be plugged out of the grace that will establish my throne transgenerationally, in Jesus name. 

5. I receive grace to die daily to myself that I may inherit the earth, in Jesus name. 

6. Lord, teach me to die to self daily, in Jesus name.
