Bible reading: Joshua 1:8, 2 Timothy 2:15

Memory Verse: As an antelope pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, God. Psalm 42:1 (ISV)

1. Understand the value of the Word: It’s undeniable that many non-participant Christians find the Bible boring and irrelevant, but that is only because they do not understand the value of God’s Word. Joshua 1:8 reminds us to meditate on the Word of God because “then you will be prosperous and successful.” God has over 3,573 promises in the Bible that we can claim. The Bible is the most valuable asset a Christian can ever have; unfortunately, many Christians just don’t see how valuable the Bible is!

2. Be led by His Spirit: When we read the Bible and are led by His Spirit, the Word of God just makes more sense. It is always a good practice to pray as much as you read the Bible. Pray before you start taking in the Word of God. To read the Bible without the leading of the Holy Spirit is meaningless. That’s why so many non-believers read the Bible and get nothing but more doubts from it. They refuse to be led by the Holy Spirit in doing so.

Quote: The first step to understanding the Word of God is to be born again.

Prophetic Word: Receive fresh impartation for the Word of God, in Jesus name

Prayer Focus

Holy Spirit, please increase my appetite for God’s Word. Encourage me Lord, to discover the hidden treasures out of your Word. Help me to be disciplined, in Jesus mighty name. Amen
