Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:12, 1 Peter 2:9

Memory Verse:  Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NIV)

In the kingdom of God, goodness is not the same as obedience. Something may look harmless, beneficial, or even celebrated, yet still fall short of God’s instruction for you. Scripture shows us that people often “choose with their eyes” and end up wrong, not because the option was evil, but because it was not God’s will for them.

A clear example is Samson. Drinking wine was permitted for others, but Samson was consecrated as a Nazarite. What was normal for many became sin for him because his assignment demanded restraint. The same applies today. You mates are drinking, cutting weird hairstyles, smoking, and ‘enjoying life’ does not make it divine. It is normal for a youth does not mean it is godly. You’re different. You’re unique. What has God told you? Something is good does not mean it is divine.

Another example is King Saul. Offering sacrifices was a good and religious act, yet when Saul did what only the priest was instructed to do, he lost divine approval. His mistake was not wickedness, but disobedience. He did a good thing in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and without God’s permission.

Consecration is what defines boundaries. God may allow one person to engage freely in certain cultural practices, careers, or associations, while restricting another. A relationship, opportunity, or habit may be “good,” but if God has not authorised it for you, it becomes a weight.

Sin, therefore, is not always about obvious wrongs. It is often about ignoring divine instructions. True maturity is not asking, “Is this good?” but “Did God say this is mine?” Obedience, not appearance, is what pleases God.

Friends, they that compare themselves with themselves are not wise. We are all children of God but separated into cadres by the reason of our intimacy and unique assignment. Follow your own lane. Cling to your own divine instructions.

Quote:  Others may, but you cannot!

Prophetic Decree:  Receive divine curation of the Holy Ghost even in a perverse generation, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, help me to see You as you see me.

2. O Lord, open my eyes of understanding to what you have prepared for me that I may practise self- restraint, in Jesus name.

3. Consecrate me Lord for your use, in Jesus name.

4. Help me Lord to say No to the dainties of this world, in Jesus name

5. I receive power to say no to sin even when others say yes, in Jesus name.

MYTHS ABOUT WORKING IN HEALING AND THE MIRACULOUS (1)

A myth is a popular belief or tradition that has grown up around something or someone which is usually unfounded and a false notion. Unfortunately, many believers love God, pray, attend church, yet never step into the miraculous. This is not because God has changed, but because certain beliefs have quietly limited them. Let’s expose them...
