Bible Reading: Ephesians 1: 15-23
Memory Verse: As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world [giving guidance through My word and works]. John 9:5 (AMP)
Have you ever wondered what God meant when He said, “Let there be light” on the first day of creation in Genesis 1 while He went ahead on day 4 to create the sun, the moon, and stars? When He said, “Let there be light”, He meant, “let my understanding open to know what to do”. In other words, let there be impartation of creative wisdom. How far you will travel in ministry, business, academics and generally in life is dependent on the quantum of light the Holy Spirit sheds into your life. Receive light in your understanding, in Jesus mighty name.
There are four kinds of light identified in the Bible – cosmic (Genesis 1:3–5), natural (Judges 19:26), miraculous (Acts 12:7), and artificial (Acts 16:29). Talking about natural light, in 1666, the English scientist, Sir Isaac Newton discovered that white light is really made of many colours. About the same time, a Dutch physicist contended that light consists of waves, and proposed a wave theory to explain the behaviour of light. Christiaan Huygens’ theory held up for about a century, but then in 1864, the English physicist James Clerk Maxwell proposed the mathematical theory of electromagnetism which became the basis of modern scientific data. Metaphorically, light is descriptive of God’s nature (1 John 1:5), word (Psalm 43:3), wisdom (Daniel 2:22), favour (Psalm 4:6) and guidance Psalm 78:14; 89:15).
Light is also a spiritual symbol of hope. In many of the world’s religions, light signifies salvation from the darkness of sin. Believers gain confidence from knowing that letting their light of faith shine in a dark world can bring about real change for the better in their lives. Now, I believe you should have a better understanding when God speaks to you via light in your dreams or vision. Most likely, that’s a good dream/vision. However, you will need to be discerning because Satan also can disguise as an angel of light. “But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” 2 Cor. 11:14 (NLT)
Quote: At the entrance of light, darkness disappears.
Prophetic Decree: Right now, receive light (a baptism of creative wisdom), in Jesus name.
