Bible Reading: Matthew 28: 19–20

Memory VerseHow, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:14 (NIV)

Many people think missions is only for those who travel abroad. But the truth is that every believer has a role to play. You may not go, but you can still be deeply involved.

Start with your immediate environment. Evangelism begins with simple, everyday conversations. That colleague at work who is always stressed, your neighbour going through a divorce, or a classmate struggling with identity, etc., are all mission fields. A simple “Can I pray for you?” can open doors.

Then there is intentional kindness. Sometimes people don’t listen to sermons, but they will never forget love in action. Helping a struggling family with groceries, checking in on someone regularly, or mentoring a younger person can reflect Christ more loudly than words.

You can also support missionaries financially. Even small, consistent giving can help someone on the field pay rent, print Bibles, or run outreach programs. Think of it this way: You may not stand on the field, but your seed is speaking there.

Another powerful way is prayer partnership. Many missionaries testify that their greatest strength comes from people who pray for them consistently. Set reminders. Pray for specific nations, ministries, and individuals.

Don’t overlook digital evangelism. In today’s world, a post, a short video, or a message shared online can reach thousands across nations. Use your social media intentionally to share the truth, encouragement, and your personal walk with God.

You can also go on short-term missions

Even a one-week outreach can expose you to what God is doing globally and ignite a deeper burden in your heart.

Finally, live a life that reflects Christ daily. Sometimes your consistency, integrity, and character will preach louder than any message.

You don’t have to do everything, but you must do something.

Quote:  Evangelism is not a gift for a few; it is a responsibility for all.

Prophetic Decree: I declare that I am a vessel for God’s work. My life will bring light, hope, and salvation to others. I will not be silent—I will be available, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Focus:

1. Holy Spirit, please open my eyes to opportunities around me daily, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, please help me to speak with boldness and act with audacity when it matters, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, baptise me with a measure of the burden in your heart when you sent Jesus to die for my sins, in Jesus name.

4. I receive a heart that cares for souls, and not just comfort, in Jesus name.

5. Lord, please show me my specific role in missions, in Jesus name.

6. I pray for consistency to remain faithful in small acts of obedience.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  Jeremiah 41-45

THE HIDDEN STRUGGLES OF MISSIONARIES AROUND THE WORLD

A missionary is a person that promotes his faith, usually by traveling to a foreign location. There, he/she carries out evangelism, and/or provides humanitarian services like education and healthcare. We mustn't forget the labours of men like David Livingstone (1813–1873), a Scottish medical missionary...
