Bible Reading: Proverbs 4:25–27; Matthew 26:41

Memory VerseBe alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Situation awareness simply means being alert, paying attention, and understanding what is happening around you so you can make wise decisions. Many problems in life don’t come because people are evil, but because people are unaware. Jesus told His disciples, “Watch and pray.” In simple terms: Don’t sleep through life. Let’s break this down in everyday life:

For children: If a stranger call you or offers you something, don’t just follow. Be aware. Notice who is around you. Stay close to trusted adults. For example, if you get lost in a store, don’t wander; find a staff member or stay in one place.

For teenagers: Not every friend is a good influence. Pay attention to conversations, behaviour, and pressure. If your friends start encouraging risky behaviour (drugs, bullying, bad decisions), don’t ignore the signs. Awareness helps you step back early.

Also, never go home with anyone who says your parents told him to pick you up from school without confirmation from your parents or the school authority.

For young adults: Be aware in relationships, finances, and decisions. Not every opportunity is genuine. For example: If something sounds “too good to be true” (easy money, shady deals), pause and think before jumping in.

For workers: Be alert at work. Notice details, instructions, and people’s intentions. For example: Sending the wrong email, missing safety rules, or trusting the wrong colleague can cause serious problems.

For homeowners: Be mindful of your environment. Lock doors, check surroundings, and know your neighbourhood. Should you notice any car or person trail you, drive into the nearest police station. If something feels off e.g. strange noises or unfamiliar activity, please don’t ignore it.

The Spiritual Side: Situation awareness is not just physical; it is also spiritual. I. Notice when your peace is disturbed. II. Be aware of temptation before it grows. III. Recognise when something is pulling you away from God. The Holy Spirit often gives quiet warnings. Awareness helps you listen.

Quote: Staying alert is not fear, it is wisdom. Stay awake. Stay sharp. Stay guided

Prophetic Decree: May your eyes open, may your mind remain alert, and may your spirit remain sensitive, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, please help me to stay alert in every area of my life.

2.Say: I will not walk into danger blindly. I receive wisdom to see clearly and act rightly, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, please train my mind and spirit to pay attention to the nudges from the Spirit of God, in Jesus name.

4. Help me not to ignore warning signs, in Jesus name.

5. Lord, let Your Spirit guide my decisions daily, in Jesus name.

THREE THINGS YOU MUST CONQUER

Life is not just about what you achieve, it’s about what you master. Before God can trust you with influence, impact, or increase, He watches how well you can govern yourself. It was Apostle Arome Osayi who said: "The first thing that a young adult must be exposed to is mastery over appetite...
